The Big East will be another wild league in terms of conference play this season and the Connecticut Huskies and Notre Dame Fighting Irish both will likely be a part of the title picture.
The two teams meet tonight on a fairly busy slate of college basketball betting action and the Irish are looking to continue to shoot up the polls toward a top ten ranking with a win.
The Huskies are of course coming off a beatdown at the hands of the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Connecticut Huskies at Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 7 pm ET:
The Irish are the favorites in this one by far, capitalizing in the sportsbooks off their recent big win over the Georgetown Hoyas.
But they also lost to Syracuse on the road following that win and have cooled a bit in the minds of many sports fans because of it.
Now, ND is facing their third-straight top ten team in the #9 Huskies as the #15 Irish’s brutal schedule continues.
The Irish are the college hoops favorites at -4 going into this one and they like to shoot the three-ball.
Ben Hansbrough and company have been hot at home from three-point land for much of the year and the Huskies are the third-worst team in the Big East in three-point percentage against so far this year.
That’s a recipe for trouble against the Irish in this one as they shoot well at home in the Bryce Jordan Center.
College Hoops betting pick: Notre Dame (-4).
Pittsburgh at Providence, 7 pm ET:
Pitt is favored by just 5 ½ going into this one as the Friars are 11-4 coming in and somewhat of a surprise team.
They only lost by two in the earlier meeting between the two teams and now the line has dropped a lot in their second meeting at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center where the Friars beat the number-one-ranked Panthers last year.
All signs point to the Friars having what it takes to overcome the spread but the Panthers faced a similar opponent in Connecticut recently. They let Kemba Walker get his points and shut down everyone else and will apply a similar principle to star Friar Marshon Brooks and come away with a big win in this one.
