College Basketball Betting Parlay

March Madness Bracket

March Madness is fast approaching and with no distinct number one in the nation, it appears it’s anyone’s game. Ohio State appeared to be the best College Hoops Betting team in the country for a large part of the season, but with two losses in the past few weeks, they’re now just looking to secure the Big Ten. One team that isn’t catching the Buckeyes anytime soon is the Fighting Illini, as they come in with just a 7-7 conference record, in a year they had hopes of competing for the conference title.

Game two of this College Hoops Betting parlay is an SEC showdown between the Tennessee Volunteers and the 18th ranked Vanderbilt Commodores. Vandy will be looking to avenge an early season loss to the Vols, and considering the way this team is playing lately, they should be able to exact that revenge tonight.

Illinois Fighting Illini vs. #2 Ohio State Buckeyes (Value City Arena – Columbus, OH)

Tuesday, February 22nd – 7 PM ET

TV: ESPN

The Buckeyes actually had a shot at regaining the top spot in the nation this past weekend as Kansas, Texas and Pitt all lost, but they just couldn’t get it done against Purdue. Credit the Boilermakers as they didn’t just squeak out a win, they handed the Buckeyes a 76-63 shellacking. That doesn’t bode well for Illinois as anytime a good team suffers a bad loss, they usually come out the next game with guns-a-blazing.

College Hoops Betting Lines:

Illinois Fighting Illini +475

Ohio State Buckeyes -10 ½, -650

This one is a College Hoops Betting lock in my opinion. Ohio State knows they blew a golden opportunity to jump back into the driver’s seat in the national picture, and blew it. They still have a very real shot at taking that top seed into the tournament, and it starts tonight with a big win over a conference opponent.

Tennessee Volunteers vs. #18 Vanderbilt Commodores (Memorial Gym – Nashville, TN)

Tuesday, February 22nd – 9 PM ET

TV: ESPN

This has been a tough stretch for Tennessee as they’re playing their third straight road game against a ranked opponent. They haven’t been winning any of those games, which doesn’t put much College Hoops Betting confidence in their backers heading into their showdown with Vandy. Then you take into consideration that the Commodores are going for their sixth straight SEC win, and that Vols win over Tennessee over a month ago seems more like a year ago.

College Hoops Betting Spread:

Tennessee Volunteers +200

Vanderbilt Commodores -5 ½, -240

At just 5 ½ points, I don’t see why more people aren’t jumping on the Commodores here. They’re clearly playing some of their best basketball of the season and will have extra motivation as they’ll be looking to avenge the early season loss. This is a no brainer in my opinion, take Vandy and the points all day.

College Hoops Betting Parlay: Ohio State (-10 ½), Vanderbilt (-5 ½)
